Melissa Williams is the Child Welfare Program Manager for the Child Welfare Education and Research Programs (CWERP) which includes the Child Welfare Education for Leadership (CWEL) and Child Welfare Education for Baccalaureates (CWEB) programs.
An alumna of the University of Pittsburgh School of Social Work, Melissa earned both her BASW and MSW through the CWEB and CWEL programs. She has been with the University for 9 years, previously serving as a Child Welfare Training Specialist for the Allegheny County OCYF Training Department. Prior to that role, Melissa worked as a Caseworker in Allegheny County for seven years, having entered the field as a CWEB intern. Melissa has also been teaching in the School of Social Work for the past 5 years, contributing to the education and development of future child welfare professionals.
