  • Mackenzie Buday was selected to complete a one-year residency with VA Connecticut in West Haven as a PSR Fellow or psychosocial rehabilitation fellow.  The Interprofessional PSR Fellowship Program is a state-of-the-art clinical training program that focuses on the theory and practice of psychosocial rehabilitation and recovery. Individualized, mentored clinical and research training is combined with a curriculum that emphasizes a comprehensive psychosocial rehabilitation approach to service delivery, education, and implementing change in a mental health care setting. The residency program is comprised of clinical, program development, teaching and/or research opportunities. During the program she will complete a primary clinical placement within an interdisciplinary team. Her secondary placement will include a yearlong serious mental illness assessment rotation with the early episode of psychosis intervention team, facilitating psychotherapy groups, and developing and implementing an Educational Dissemination Project to present at the United States Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association's Annual Conference. The fellowship position also comes with a Yale staff affiliation.
