Judicial races are some of the most important elections to participate in but are often under-promoted and neglected by the public. Judges serve for some of the longest periods of time out of all elected representatives, some even serving for life. Judges on the Court of Common Pleas in Pennsylvania serve for 10 years before running for re-election. While judges are meant to remain impartial when making decisions, interpretation of law can leave room for opinions or biases to be expressed, meaning judges have significant power over communities that are often overlooked.
