I look forward to collaborating with my peers in this program and contributing to meaningful change. This opportunity feels like a great chance to grow both personally and professionally, and I’m proud to be becoming a Browne Fellow. I can't wait to see what we can accomplish together!"

Major: Education

"I am honored to be selected as a 2025 Browne Leadership Fellow! As a future teacher and educator, I look forward to the chance to help other within my community. While not originally from Pittsburgh, I am very familiar with the city from my time spent visiting family and going to sports games. I’ve grown to love this city and its people and that is why I want to give back any way I can. I am beyond excited that I have the chance to give others the same sense of home and belonging that I felt driving across the steel bridges for the very first time."

"I am honored to be selected as a Browne Fellow. I look forward to exploring the ways leadership can create lasting impact. I believe that leadership isn’t always about bold, notable actions—it often takes shape in small, quiet efforts that ripple outward to drive meaningful change. Through this fellowship, I aim to deepen my understanding of community service, collaborate on innovative solutions, and contribute to creating equitable opportunities for the Pittsburgh community. I am excited to work alongside other fellows who also share this commitment to fostering positive, tangible social change."

Julia Curran

"I am honored to have been selected to serve as a Browne Leadership Fellow! This incredible opportunity allows me to work alongside peers and mentors who share the same passion for social justice within the greater Pittsburgh community. Through the Browne Fellowship, I aim to advocate for kindness, equal treatment, and systematic change that addresses the needs of those individuals requiring support. This fellowship represents the opportunity to give back and leave things better than I found them. Knowing that my work can create a positive, lasting impact on the community is deeply rewarding. With my ultimate goal to help resolve educational disparities, provide equity in healthcare, and offer hands-on service within my community, I believe the Browne Leadership Fellowship will empower me to continue living my life as a human for others while being committed to doing justice for all communities. "
