Volunteers from the University of Pittsburgh School of Social Work conducted test calls to help evaluate the Department of Public Welfare's efficiency and customer service. As a result, The U.S. Department of Agriculture, which oversees the food stamp program, has told the DPW it must improve the "timeliness" of its food stamp eligibility processing.
