Professor receives grant

Assistant Professor Leah Jacobs has been awarded a University Research Council grant for her project “Substance Abuse Treatment, Neighborhoods, and Housing: How Services and Social Circumstances Affect Criminal Recidivism.” This study will examine the impact of behavioral health treatment on recidivism among probationers with substance abuse problems. The study moves beyond individual- and programmatic constraints, exploring the neglected role of neighborhood and housing factors in shaping treatment outcomes.
