Westinghouse students learn how to effect change

A team of four students from Westinghouse's Intro to Social Justice course were selected to participate in a special opportunity sponsored by the Pittsburgh Foundation. The program was called Change Agents Education: Students working for Social Justice. Over the course of three days, students received training in Human-Centered design principles from LUMA and had the opportunity to design a project to create change in their school and community. This team from Westinghouse was one of only 6 teams selected from over 20 schools in the Pittsburgh area. The students had a memorable experience and are excited to execute a project that they believe will help advance social justice in education by providing support to vulnerable students in their school.
