PACS facilitates a back-to-school event in Homewood

The University of Pittsburgh was well represented at Faison Elementary's Back-to-School event. The Pitt Department of Occupational Therapy will be providing in-classroom support for kindergarten teachers at Faison in the upcoming school year.  During the back-to-school event, 7 Masters in Occupational Therapy students and 2 faculty members were present and lead a fun hands-on activity for the students.  Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc received a $500 grant from PittServes to provide school supplies for students at Faison Elementary.  During the back-to-school event 120 backpacks with crayons, activity books, and pencils we distributed by the student organization. These university & school partnerships were facilitated by Pitt-Assisted Communities & Schools.See more photos on Flickr.
