Faculty members receive Year of Creativity grant

New faculty members Deborah Moon and Rachel Gartner have received a new grant award from the University's Year of Creativity for their project entitled "Liberation Poetry Workshop with Moor Mother and Social Work Students".  This is a collaborative effort with Dr. Gantt from the Department of Music to engage social work graduate students enrolled in the Human Behavior and Social Environment class in an experiential poetry workshop led by Moor Mother, a musician, a poet, and a social activist, to tap into students' innate creativity and fuel social action by bridging social work practice with artistic expression.
